Gene Clark was the greatest underrated singer/songwriter to emerge from the ’60s rock explosion, and deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as Neil Young. This album, his debut as a duo with virtuoso banjoist/guitarist Doug Dillard, is perhaps his most brilliant recording. Out of the ashes of the Byrds and a brilliant false start of a solo career (the excellent Echoes album), the 1968 Dillard & Clark project found Clark collecting some of his finest material (basically the entire album) and putting it in the familiar context of bluegrass and country, a good year before these elements became vogue in the pop world. But Gene Clark was always ahead of his time. Bookended by two exquisite autobiographical explorations into consciousness — “Out on the Side” and “Something’s Wrong” — the album’s other tracks run from mournful ballad statements such as “Radio Song” to joyous celebrations like “With Care from Someone.” There is also a very hot cover of the gospel number “Git It on Brother,” which features Chris Hillman on mandolin. Doug Dillard’s playing on the record is uniformly excellent. Not only a virtuoso musician, Dillard is a truly smart player who never gets in the way of the songs. Graceful, spellbinding, and tasteful all at the same time. Absolutely essential. ~ Matthew Greenwald, Rovi Performers: Andy Belling – Electric Harpsichord; David Jackson – String Bass; Bernie Leadon – Banjo, Guitar; Chris Hillman – Mandolin; Don Beck – Mandolin, Dobro; Gene Clark – Harmonica, Guitar; Doug Dillard – Banjo, Guitar, Violin; Joel Larson – Drums
The celebrated Spanish sculptor Juan Muñoz (1953-2001) died at the height of his powers, when he was considered "one of the most complex and individual artists working today" (Guardian). His challenging, enigmatic works almost inexorably draw in viewers. "The spectator," Muñoz said about his installations, "becomes very much like the object to be looked at, and perhaps the viewer has become the one who is on view." This handsome book, distinguished by more than 30 stunning photographs, documents a group of Muñoz installations at the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute. Representing the full range of Muñoz`s sculptures—from First Banister (1987), which reflects the artist`s early use of architectural language, to Conversation Piece (2001), a work that shows his later interest in the human figure—the book demonstrates how Muñoz invented a mode of storytelling through objects that spoke to space, memory, and displacement. David Breslin contributes a reflection on notions of interiority and exteriority, and of perception and absorption, as expressed in Muñoz`s work.
Twinkie Clark is often credited, along with her mother, the late Dr. Mattie Moss Clark, with shaping the sound of one of the gospel music idiom’s most revered and emulated female groups, the Clark Sisters. This project, recording live in Charlotte, NC, at the University Park Baptist Church, finds Clark in good vocal form. This can be witnessed in the opening track, the upbeat “Jesus Saves.” Clark comes out holding nothing back, as she is ably assisted by the voices of Patrick Love and the Spirit of David Choir. Clark and her talented sisters Jacky, Karen, and Dorinda reunite on covers of the Clark Sisters standards “Endow Me” and “Pray for the U.S.A.” This project also finds Clark paying homage to the music of her mother through the classics “It Won’t Be Long” and “Christ Is Coming Back Again.” The latter features a once in a lifetime vocal performance from sister Karen, while Twinkie slides over to the Hammond B-3, displaying why she has long been noted as one of the industry’s top organists. This is a wonderful recording. ~ Tim A. Smith, Rovi Performers: Adrienne Brown – Singer, Vocals; Lashaun Hayes – Singer, Vocals; Ron Duncan – Singer, Vocals; Sheria Croutch – Singer, Vocals; John Terrell – Rap; Cedric Thompson – Keyboards; Daniel Weatherspoon – Organ, Keyboards; Melvin Gray – Bass; Twinkie Clark-Terrell – Keyboards, Organ

As produced by the BBC, the release Lewis & Clark and Other Great Adventures presents three back to back docudramas that recreate the excitement and suspense of history’s most courageous explorers, via sweeping on-camera reenactments. The first segment follows Meriweather Lewis and William Clark, circa 1804, as they hearken out of Missouri and comb the wilderness for a trade route to the Pacific; the second cuts back to the 18th century to observe German naturalist Alexander von Humboldt as he embarks from Europe to the then-uncharted continent of South America and attempts to systematically document the plant and animal life of that region; and the third drama observes Antarctic explorer Ernest Shackleton as he and his crew spend two years struggling to survive at all costs amid the polar regions. David Yelland, Kal Weber and Christopher Eccleston co-star . ~ Nathan Southern, Rovi

We cannot deny the fact that consumers can be picky. So, before you decide your second hand car price, take a look at your car and its condition. The price of your car must be based upon the study and research on marketability of the second hand cars. If make and model of your car is new, then definitely you will like to sell it as soon as possible. If this is not the case, you are advised to do some research so as to get the best market price for your car.
The make and model of the car plays a vital role in deciding second hand car price. If your car is not in trend, then it is almost impossible or at least tough to sell it. Then, the one option you have is to offer it to someone who is fond of collecting old cars.
Whatever may be the situation, but do not keep yourself in illusion and accept the actual popularity and demand of the model of your car in the current market. Spare some time to perform a research on the prevailing second hand car price for the make and model of your car via some company. In this way only, you will come to know about the market value of your vehicle. Thereafter, you can decide about the amount that you will receive on selling your car.
Next important step in determining second hand car price for the car is that you should do some homework before you decide the asking price. You can search various websites to determine the price of your car according to its particular make and model. While deciding the range of price for your car, you need to consider various factors such as mileage, car’s condition and its special features. It is best if you have prepared a proper report in which all these factors are properly mentioned. It will make the whole selling process easier for you.
Besides all these, you also have to consider whether you have made any major cosmetic or mechanical improvements to your car lately, do not forget to mention it, and then set the price accordingly.
Once you have determined the price for your car, you can think of other steps involved in the process of second hand car selling. However, do not forget to keep your price figure higher by a few hundred dollars, as it will prove beneficial while negotiating the price with potential buyers.
