It is a 12 record box set it with all these in the Magnificat, the B Minor Mass All major Oratorio St. Matthew Passion St. John Passion Christmas Oratorio Easter Oratorio

a simple way to measure the value of this type of thing is the check in eBay or other auction sites for similar products. I found prices ranging from $ 30-100 to the right notes. Although you can find someone for problems willing to pay money to vinyl.

Conductor Masaaki Suzuki and the Japan Bach Collegium, Japan’s leading historical-instrument ensemble, here take a break from a long series of cantata recordings to present Bach’s Easter Oratorio and Ascension Oratorio. Actually, these recordings are very much of a piece with Suzuki’s cantata discs. The two oratorios are really large cantatas, with their music imported from a variety of sources, some of them secular. There aren’t dramatic roles, as in the larger cantatas, although the Ascension Oratorio does have a narrator-evangelist. The text of the Easter Oratorio is written from the point of view of onlookers to the Resurrection. Bach was among the most consistent composers who ever lived, but if he wrote any minor works, these could be placed under that heading.Bach tweaked these works repeatedly as they were used for different occasions, and the booklet devotes a lot of space to sorting out all the different versions. As for the performances, they have the deliberate, calm quality that is the hallmark of Suzuki’s Bach. In soprano Yukari Nonoshita he has found an ideal collaborator; check out track 5, the soprano-and-flute aria “Seele deine Spezieren,” for an example of the hypnotic grace Suzuki’s readings can have. Even her recitatives seem to glow with quiet light. Bass Chiyuki Urano is equally smooth, but the edgier sound of countertenor Patrick van Goethem is slightly out of place here. In general, those who prize the quality of contemplation in Bach’s music will find Suzuki to their liking. His ongoing Bach project is producing recordings of lasting significance, and this production of the master’s two small oratorios is well worth hearing. ~ James Manheim, Rovi Performers: Bach Collegium Japan Chorus – Choir, Chorus; Chiyuki Urano – Bass (Vocal); Jan Kobow – Tenor (Vocal); Patrick van Goethem – Counter Tenor (Vocal); Yukari Nonoshita – Soprano (Vocal)

Christmas backdrops can bring life to any Christmas event. As long as they are used in the right environment, they will be a great addition to the event. You might be wondering why anyone would need a backdrop for Christmas. There are places that use these scenic backgrounds to enhance certain events.

Church

It’s almost impossible to attend a church Christmas play that doesn’t use a backdrop. The church might buy one or make their own. Christmas is one of the most popular holidays in the world. During the holiday, churches all over the world reenact the birth of Jesus in the manger.

The most popular background for Christmas plays includes the barn where Mary and Joseph stayed. A depiction of the star of Bethlehem is also a popular background. They add a realistic touch that helps audiences get into the play.

Holiday Party

Christmas parties are a big deal for many people. Out of all the holidays, Christmas parties are second only to New Year’s in lavishness. A Christmas party can use a variety of backgrounds since no play is in progress. When decorating for your party, you don’t have to worry about depicting a certain scene.

For example, you could use a background that shows Santa’s Workshop. That wouldn’t work for a Christmas play about the birth of Jesus, but it would work for a party. You have many more options when choosing a background for a party. A background that shows reindeer, a Christmas tree or a landscape covered with snow would work for a party.

Store

Most stores use Christmas backdrops to mark the holiday. When you start to see holiday scenes in the stores, you know the sales are about to begin. Scenes with gifts are common backdrops depicted in stores. This is a good way to get shoppers into the buying spirit.

Photographer Studio

Photographer’s studios also make sure of backdrops for Christmas. Many families send photos as holiday gifts. A good backdrop makes the perfect setting for family holiday photos.

The places mentioned above are just a few that use Christmas backdrops. If you’re planning a holiday event, a background might be just the thing you need.
