I am 17 and began to sing opera a year ago. I'm trying to sound when I hear my favorite sopranos to do, but because I obviously do not manage, I get angry. My teacher tells me it's okay, because I too young to have to sing opera anyway. But how can this be? Renata Scotto made her debut in a production of heavy Madame Butterfly, as she was 18th Was not too young for them? And Puccini also needs a kind of mature Voice also. So, I'm not trying to compare myself with any of these divas talented, but I wonder what age is appropriate after all … Thank you!
I respect your ability to objectively reflect on … it seems as if you were like some real input. In my experience, the battles we go through most are completely mental. In truth there is no bright side and not an advantage allowing any room in your mind for questions like these. Compare with other help is never You feel better about themselves to be. It's okay, inspired by someone else's hard work, but when you discover who you are by trying, with others, then you will always be difficult, your own abilities. All you need is already within you right, just waiting for you to say "YES" – I know doubts that sometimes masquerade as "healthy skepticism", but the end result is always the same – uncertainty, doubt, uncertainty and fear. How can you at your best Side on the outside, if you feel your worst are on the inside? Do yourself a favor and Talk Back to your thoughts when they – questions like these to remember that to answer it (if you ever help), you do not want no more or less than they answer … and nothing like this has no effect on your ability sing, practice run, or contribute to the music – remember, it's all about you! Do your best to focus and not worry so much. They are a Noah better singer, a better musician, and above all a better person. Good Luck,

MANON LESCAUT, the tragic opera that catapulted Giacomo Puccini to fame and fortune, tells the story of the beautiful young Manon, whose intention to join a convent becomes interrupted by the affections of two men: the poor and romantic poet Renato des Grieux and the vile tax collector Geronte de Revoir. Manon lives with both the men, one in abject poverty, the other in stifling opulence; in the end she chooses love over money, but it is a decision that leads to her death. Renata Scotto plays the role of the innocent yet vain Manon Lescaut and the great tenor Placido Domingo plays her poor poet lover in this 1980 production at the Metropolitan Opera.
