Sometimes I realize when I look at cd on ebay say some sellers, the CD is in a "digipak". This is delivered in the first year that I've ever heard of it.
Digipak may mean that it is a special edition. For example, the new version of the Split Enz albums are in Standard jewel cases, but specific titles on them. They are usually as "Digipaks" Digipak mentioned may also mean that the outer envelope of the CD case with plastic insert, like a CD-singles. In my experience, the first definition is more widespread.
